Making Services Accessible
EdYouth Foundation is committed to making substance-use counseling, anger management, and supportive counseling services accessible to youth, young adults, adults, and families.
Because many of the individuals we serve are connected to EdYouth through school districts, juvenile justice agencies, courts, community organizations, and other referral partners, the way services are funded may vary based on the referral arrangement, service provided, participant eligibility, and available funding source.
How Services May Be Funded
Agency & Contract-Funded Services
EdYouth Foundation welcomes opportunities to work with county agencies, juvenile justice organizations, courts, school districts, government agencies, and community partners that fund or authorize services for eligible participants.
When services are provided through an established agreement or approved funding arrangement, EdYouth will coordinate with the referring organization regarding authorization, eligibility, documentation, and payment requirements.
Medicaid & Insurance
Depending on the service and treating clinician, eligible clients may be able to use Medicaid or participating commercial insurance coverage for covered counseling services.
Insurance availability is based on the client's individual plan, the services requested, clinician network participation and credentialing, eligibility, authorization requirements, and applicable insurance benefits.
Insurance coverage is not guaranteed by referral or enrollment. Coverage and benefits should be verified before services begin.
Third-Party Funded Services
In some circumstances, services may be funded or sponsored by an approved agency, organization, program, grant, or other third-party funding source.
EdYouth will work with the referring or funding organization to determine whether an eligible funding arrangement is available for the participant.
Private-Pay Services
Private-pay options may also be available for individuals and families who are not using insurance or whose services are not being funded by a referring organization or other third party.
Information regarding applicable fees and payment expectations will be provided before services begin.
For Referral Partners
EdYouth Foundation strives to make the referral process straightforward for our partners. A referral can be made even when the payment source has not yet been determined.
After receiving a referral, our team can assist with identifying the appropriate service pathway and determining the applicable payment or funding arrangement before services begin.
Our goal is to work collaboratively with referral partners while helping participants access the substance-use, anger-management, counseling, and supportive services they need to move toward healthier choices, greater stability, and long-term success.
